Hey Friends!
I hope you all had happy holidays and the new year is treating you well!
Its been a while since you’ve heard from me, so let me fill you in! I was involved in three holiday sales at the end of last year: the Freight Street Gallery Handmade Market in Waterbury; the New Britain Museum Trunk Show in New Britain; and the Creative Arts Workshop Celebration of American Craft here in New Haven. Thank you so much to those who came out to support Jemmanimals!
It is officially winter, though I have barely noticed here in CT, as we’ve had only ONE good snow storm and a depressing LACK of ANY snow days! This fact is especially depressing to me, because I have so many sewing projects lined up ready for all those anticipated free days off from work. Instead, I’ve been shackled to my desk, thinking how amazing it would be to be a bear. I could hibernate all winter long, wake up to a fabulously svelt figure and then go catch myself some delicious salmon sashimi!
I have a lot to do, on the sewing and social media front. Did you know I have a twitter? Its ok, I forgot about it too! :/ I have big plans for 2012 including some new mounted trophy heads, an introduction of a new jemmanimals clothing and bag line, some international news and more! stay tuned!
For now, I shall say goodbye.
thimbly yours, jemma
P.S. here’s a photo of a custom jemmanimal I made for the holidays! His name is Henry the Cat.
